The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) is the national academy of sciences of the Russian Federation, the country's largest center for fundamental research. The main goal of the Russian Academy of Sciences is to organize and conduct fundamental and applied scientific research on the issues of natural, technical, humanitarian and social sciences, aimed at obtaining new knowledge about the laws of nature, society, human development and contributing to the technological, economic, social and cultural development of Russia.
