Nezabudka (Forget-me-not). Data storage system

Nezabudka refers to the class of unified storage systems that support file and block access to stored data. The equipment combines the possibility of online scaling of both capacity and performance, provides reliable storage of information resources, high speed of servicing user applications and business continuity.

Key features:

  • Supported drive types: SSD and SAS flash drives, nominal capacities from 480 GB to 14 TB;
  • Two controllers (up to 384 GB cache each), the possibility to increase performance by installing second-level cache memory on flash drives (SSD);
  • Support within one controller at the same time as block data access protocols (FC, iSCSI) and file (NFS, CIFS / SMB), without increasing the number of controllers;
  • Maximum raw storage capacity of 8.6 PB (depending on configuration);
  • Supported number of drives of up to 720 (depending on configuration);
  • Expansion disk shelves:
    • 2.5" SSDs, NL-SAS and SAS;
    • 3.5" SSDs and NL-SAS;
    • HDDE: NL-SAS and SAS.
  • Dynamic redistribution of data blocks between storage levels (SSD / SAS); activation of the functionality applies to the entire set, without the need for additional licensing with an increase in storage volume;
  • Connecting additional disk shelves via SAS 12 Gb/s interface;
  • Creating snapshots;
  • Data replication (local and remote) in near-synchronous and asynchronous mode;
  • Support for data deduplication / compression;
  • Creation of disk pools and the possibility to allocate virtual volumes that provide servers with more disk capacity than is physically installed in the array;
  • Universal GUI software via web browser / command line interface:
    • Centralized management and monitoring of the entire structured volume of disk space and disk array components;
    • View information about allocated and free disk space;
    • Monitoring and analysis of array performance;
    • Status monitoring of connection paths from servers to storage systems;
    • Automatic generation of administrative alerts via e-mail or SNMP in emergencies in the operation of system components.

Key benefits:

  • High Reliability:
    • Lack of a single point of failure due to duplication of the main components (controllers, fans, power supplies, I/O ports);
    • Support for hot replacement of disks, controllers, power supplies, cooling system fans without stopping the system and applications;
    • In case of failure of one of the controllers, all I/O operations are automatically transferred to another controller without stopping applications and losing connections with storage system consumers;
    • Ensuring the health and access to data in the event of a simultaneous failure of any two hard drives in the disk storage subsystem.
  • No need for additional licensing when increasing the amount of data (activation of the functionality applies to the entire set of equipment and control software);
  • Increasing firmware versions without interrupting data access;
  • Data in place upgrade, scaling a disk array to an array of a higher level without replacing disk shelves;
  • Auto QoS, the operation is performed without the participation of the administrator of the storage system;
  • Support for installing drives of various types, the possibility to flexibly configure their ratio;
  • Support for virtualization platforms, including the availability of plug-ins for the virtualization platform management system;
  • Possibility of implementation as a virtual application;
  • Reduced IT infrastructure costs due to extensive storage scalability;
  • High performance, ensuring reliable storage of information resources, providing guaranteed access to data.
